Exploring the movement of my hands and the act of stitching as an improvisational process, where the product is the movement and the interaction between the body and the material.

I first measured a yard of fabric using my body as a ruler, the length is my approximate height and the width is the length of my arm from my finger tip to my shoulder. The thread in hand travels back and forth, weaving through the fabric becoming a performatitve act. The film of the performance was projected onto the fabric i.e

"body ruler".
